Since 2008 when the Bo Pelini Foundation was formed with a goal of assisting local youth in need, the Foundation has supported a special program called “Bo Pelini Christmas Gift Giving Project.” Each December members of the football team take time out of their busy schedules to hand deliver a Christmas bag of goodies to fifth graders at Elliott Elementary School. It’s hard to tell what the fifth graders are more excited about, a visit from the student-athletes, or their bag full of non-perishable food, winter clothing, gift cards and vouchers and other miscellaneous items. Last year members of the Husker Volleyball team joined in the fun.
This season, the Bo Pelini Foundation would like to expand the gift giving to other Lincoln fifth graders in need. Would you like to help?
